Clifton Historic Botany Village Special Improvement District Looks Toward a New Chapter

Clifton, NJ: The Clifton Historic Botany Village Special Improvement District is pleased to share that Historic Botany Village was recently featured in NorthJersey.com and the Clifton Journal in an article titled “Clifton’s Botany Village seeks a new chapter in an old story.”

The recognition highlights the continued importance of Historic Botany Village as a unique part of Clifton’s history and business community. As the District looks toward the future, the organization is focused on building upon that history while creating new opportunities for local businesses, residents, and visitors.

With new leadership in place, the Clifton Historic Botany Village Special Improvement District is moving forward with renewed energy and a strong commitment to doing more for Historic Botany Village. Under the leadership of President George Silva, along with Vice President Richard Mejia, Treasurer Joe Fabi, and Secretary Gloria Vidal, the Board of Trustees is working together to strengthen the District and expand its programs, events, and initiatives.

One of the District’s priorities moving forward is identifying and pursuing grant funding and other funding opportunities that can help support Historic Botany Village. The Board is actively looking into available grants and programs that could provide additional resources for improvements, community events, business initiatives, beautification efforts, and other projects that benefit the district.

“Our goal is to build on everything that has already been accomplished while continuing to find new ways to move Historic Botany Village forward,” said George Silva, President of the Clifton Historic Botany Village Special Improvement District. “We have a strong leadership team and a dedicated Board of Trustees, and we are actively looking at new opportunities, including grant funding, that can help us bring more resources into the Village. We want to do more, plan more, and continue finding ways to invest in our businesses and our community.”

The District is also increasing its focus on community events, business engagement, partnerships, and initiatives designed to bring more attention and activity to Historic Botany Village. The Board is exploring additional programs and projects that can strengthen the district and create new opportunities for local businesses.

Grant funding and outside resources can provide an important opportunity for the District to expand what it is able to accomplish. By actively researching available funding programs and working with community partners, the Board hopes to identify new resources that can help turn future ideas and projects into reality.

The recent coverage serves as an opportunity to recognize where Historic Botany Village has been while looking ahead to where it can go. The District remains committed to preserving the character and history of the Village while embracing new ideas, partnerships, and opportunities for growth.
